Came recently and had a slice of cheese. They were about to close, so it was the last slice. Still really good - better than a lot of place in the city Came back today and got a fresh slice and it is fantastic. NY style, with slightly sweet and salty sauce, light cheese and had it toasted up to well done. Great slice. The owners are cool. Wife is very sweet. Worth the 15 minute drive for me to grab a quick slice.Posted on Google
Other S78 days agoWonderful family-run establishment. For two consecutive years, our kid has requested to have his birthday meal here. The owners are so accommodating and kind in allowing us to sing obnoxiously and bring birthday cake into their establishment to celebrate our guy! As for the food, if you like NY style pizza, this is the place! Their salads are great, too, topped off with their homemade dressing. Our only regret is that we didn’t find Joe Mama’s sooner. Thanks again!!Posted on Google

Ben J117 days agoDefinitely qualifies as a hidden gem. Tucked near the edge of a strip mall. This pizza joint offers top quality pizza with fluffy dough. The ingredients are fresh and the ranch is made in house! The star was definitely the cheese steak, especially for a pizza joint I was surprised how good it was. Crunchy roll, tender meat, good cheese consistency. Above all the staff are incredibly friendly. Definitely worth a visit for your lunch hour.+2Posted on Google

Steve W123 days agoThe food is great. I got the lunch special of 2 slices of pizza and a drink. The atmosphere is cantina style, which is funny and unique for a pizza place. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is tasty.+0Posted on Google
Enrique124 days agoGreat local spot for pizza. We did a pickup order and got the pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and philly cheesesteak and it was great! The pizza had a crunch to it the garlic knots were puffy but with a crunch in each bite and plenty of garlic with it. I don't have a pic of the philly cheesesteak as I was busy devouring. Overall I would order again especially if I'm too lazy to cook. Ha!+1Posted on Google

Chase E143 days agoThe cheesesteak may have been the best one I've had in a long time. The ingredients were fresh and you could tell it was made to order. For me though, it was the staff that made the experience worth it. Their smiles, their welcoming tone, and the overall environment their positivity created made this place feel like an instant classic!! Thank you Joe Mommas for a great first time!!!!Posted on Google

Joe B291 days agoThis place is so great! We live nearby but had never gone until yesterday, and it was absolutely worth it. The food was excellent, the staff was incredibly friendly and kind, and the atmosphere was calm and inviting, with light Christmas music playing in the background. The garlic knots are the best around! One thing I really appreciated is that the dining room is separate from the ordering area, so you’re not constantly dealing with the noise of people coming in and out. Overall, this is a must-go spot for both the food and the experience!+2Posted on Google

We ordered Joe Mama’s for delivery (through DoorDash) tonight and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and delicious. This pizza was perfectly balanced and not salty. Abigail V461 days agoA Hidden Gem for NY-Style Pizza in Charlotte! 🍕 I ordered the cheese pizza slices and garlic knots, and WOW—this is the closest I’ve had to authentic New York pizza since moving to Charlotte! The pizza is a perfect 10/10—thin, cheesy, and flavorful just like back home. The garlic knots were amazing too, topped with real garlic pieces and fresh parsley. Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and homey, and the owners are super friendly. It was clean inside, and I love that they offer Pepsi products. You can dine in or take out, which is super convenient. I’ll definitely be coming back. If you're craving real NY-style pizza in Charlotte, Joe Momma’s Pizza and Grill is the spot!+1Posted on Google
